Panasonic DMC TZ10 Digital Camera
The 12.1-megapixel DMC-TZ10 features a 25mm wide-angle 12x optical zoom f/3.3-4.9
LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens (35mm camera equivalent: 25-300mm) in a compact body. The 25mm wide-angle lens has about twice the shooting area of the standard 35mm lens. The powerful 12x zoom can also be used in motion picture recording. In 3-megapixel resolution mode, the Extra Optical Zoom function provides additional magnification, extending the zoom power to 23.4x by using the center part of the CCD.
The Intelligent Resolution (I.R) Technology gives a high resolution look to digital zoom images as well as ordinary images. The image is divided into contour areas, texture areas and smooth areas. And optimum image processing is applied to each type of area. This enables 16x Intelligent Zoom that achieves about 1.3 times the usual zoom magnification with almost no loss of image quality. The Intelligent Resolution Technology also achieves sharp images in modes that use fewer pixels to enable high sensitivity and high speed.
The DMC-TZ10 can record HD movie of 720P in AVCHD Lite with high sound quality of Digital Stereo Creator. Motion JPEG format is also available (1,280 x 720 pixels). Just press the Motion Picture Button, and shooting begins. The iA Mode can also be activated in motion picture recording. When the DMC- TZ10 is connected to a Panasonic VIERA via an optional mini HDMI cable, the TV’s remote control unit can be used to enjoy playing back with greater convenience.
The DMC-TZ10 features the Travel Mode function with GPS. You can quickly go into the Travel Mode from the top menu and organize various information related to your travel. When shooting, the photo location and local time information from GPS is recorded in the photo. When playing back, automatic sort & slideshow by shooting location is possible. In addition, P/A/S/M Mode for more creative shots is added to the DMC-TZ10. You can enjoy shooting when traveling even before you know it
The POWER O.I.S. nearly doubles the hand-shake correction power of conventional MEGA O.I.S. So you can take beautiful night shots without blurring. Activating POWER O.I.S., Intelligent ISO Control, Face Detection AF/AE with Face Recognition, Intelligent Scene Selector with Sunset Mode, Intelligent Exposure and AF Tracking, the camera does all the work in the iA Mode. And Happy Mode is newly added to the DMC-TZ10 and optimizes color saturation and brightness for vividly memorable scenes.

AVCHD Lite
The TZ10 records HD motion images with 1280 x 720-pixel resolution while zooming in and out. It uses the AVCHD Lite (MPEG-4/H.264), which achieves higher image quality and stores less data than the conventional Motion JPEG. You can also use the iA mode to shoot motion images, and let the camera do all the work for you. This user-friendly mode automatically selects the most suitable Scene mode and helps correct blurring, focus and brightness problems. All you do is aim and shoot. iA is the easy way to capture beautiful HD movies.
Face Recognition in iA Mode
iA mode now includes Face Recognition, a function that “remembers” registered faces. When there’s a familiar face in the frame, it optimizes the focus and exposure so that the face is in sharp focus and bright. This newly evolved technology makes it easy to get beautiful photos of a loved one in a group of people
LCD Screen
The TZ10 incorporates an easy-to-see, large, 3.0-inch 460,000-dot high-resolution LCD for comfortable viewing while both monitoring shots and playing back the results. The Intelligent LCD function detects the light condition and automatically boosts the LCD backlighting by max. 40% when shooting outdoors in bright sunshine, and adjusts the frame rate when shooting in low-lit situations.

Just connect the camera to an HDTV using a single HDMI mini cable (purchased separately), and and it’s even easy to enjoy slideshow, in which both still and motion images integrated in the recorded timeline. If you have a VIERA TV, you can control the camera’s playback functions with VIERA’s remote control unit.
